2025 Patriots NFL draft grades: Live grades for every New England selection

The New England Patriots were one of the NFL’s worst teams in 2024. They have undergone significant changes in the hopes of improving drastically during Drake Maye’s second season.

Jerod Mayo was fired just one season after being named Bill Belichick’s successor. He was replaced by Mike Vrabel, another former Patriots player who had a successful six-year stint with the Tennessee Titans.

Vrabel has wasted no time adding players to New England’s roster alongside general manager Eliot Wolf. The Patriots signed big-ticket defensive tackle Milton Williams in free agency while also adding Stefon Diggs, Morgan Moses, Harold Landry, Carlton Davis and Robert Spillane to become key starters for the team.

Despite these acquisitions, the Patriots are still in desperate need of talent all over their roster. They need to continue to build up the offensive line in front of Maye and need to surround him with quality receiving weapons, as no New England player had more than Hunter Henry‘s 674 receiving yards last season.

The Patriots spent a lot to bulk up their defense in free agency, so they figure to focus on offense in the 2025 NFL draft. Many fans and analysts alike expect the team to double-dip at their weakest positions, offensive tackle and receiver, with their early-round selections.
