A preliminary 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck in the North Hollywood area on Sunday, according to the USGS.
LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck in the North Hollywood area on Sunday, with shaking felt across Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck around 10:13 p.m. and was felt in the San Fernando Valley and other parts of Los Angeles, including the Mid-Wilshire area, Koreatown and as far south as Huntington Beach in Orange County.
The quake was reported about 1.4 miles east-southeast of North Hollywood; 1.7 miles north of Universal City; 2 and 1/2 miles east-northeast of Studio City and 3 miles west-southwest of Burbank, according to the USGS.
About 10 miles away, some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry were in the heart of Hollywood after the conclusion of the Oscars ceremony.

There were no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
