Photos and video of Wednesday’s severe weather and storm damage

TOLEDO, Ohio — A long line of thunderstorms that stretched all the way into the southern states rolled into northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan on Wednesday night. This, after the area already had a round of dousing rain early in the morning. WTOL 11 crews are responding to areas of significant storm damage, which will also be catalogued in this story. 

First Energy began reporting outages due to the weather just before midnight as the storms moved through, with the number of outages increasing through the night. 

There were also reports of downed powerlines.

A tree crashed into a central Toledo home Wednesday at approximately 3:50 p.m. Authorities on scene told WTOL 11 there were no injuries nor a fire, but damage to the house was significant.
