While many men spiced up their ensembles with brooches, Andrew Garfield looked no further than his everyday reading glasses to accessorize at the 2025 Oscars.

Garfield swapped out a pair of Gucci shades on the carpet for his tried-and-true reading glasses from Oliver Peoples, which he put to use reading off the teleprompter while announcing best animated film alongside Goldie Hawn.

Aside from a subtle pendant necklace peeking out from his silk button-down and a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, Garfield took a a pared-backed approach to his accessories for the night, meaning all eyes were on…well, his eyes. Oh, and that custom chocolate brown Gucci suit.

The glasses look like the same pair the actor wore while presenting at the SAG Awards, where he also used them to read off a screen for his speech. Let’s hope he never tries to go off book on stage lest he finds no other reason to accessorize with the beloved specs, which are already a hit online.

“….Andrew Garfield and HIS SLUTTY LITTLE GLASSES ABSOLUTELY fuels my will to live..,” one user wrote in a viral post on Threads.

While Garfield was not nominated for any films at this year’s awards show, he charmed the audience while paying a tribute directly to Goldie Hawn on stage. Before presenting the award for best animated film, he took the iconic actor by the hands and thanked her.

“I feel very lucky because I get to thank that person from the bottom of my heart. That person is Goldie Hawn,” he said while the pair embraced on stage. “You’ve given us movies full of joy. You’ve lifted our spirits and you’ve made us feel it all was right with the world, over and over again.”
