Cool couple days in Maryland ahead of higher temperatures and rain

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Quiet weather arrives for the middle of the week in Maryland before an unsettled pattern begins.

Temperatures this afternoon will be slightly below average with highs rising to the upper 50s, and compared to yesterday’s record-tying high of 86, it will feel chilly. Throughout the day, skies will be sunny, and it will be breezy.

Wednesday will be another cool and dry day, but rain chances and temperatures will be higher after that. Highs will reach the upper 70s on Thursday and low 70s on Friday with rain on both days.

Expect the unsettled pattern to last into the weekend. There is the chance of rain each day from Thursday through Monday, and through this time, parts of the state could receive up to two inches of rain.

While it will not be much, the rain still will be beneficial, because almost all of Maryland is in a drought. The Baltimore metro is in a severe drought.

Temperatures will fluctuate during this rainy stretch. On Saturday, highs will only reach the mid 60s. On Sunday, highs will rebound to the mid 70s. On Monday, expect the cooler low 60s.
