AUSTIN (KXAN) — Loreal and Steve Sarkisian announced the birth of their son Friday via their respective Instagram accounts.
“He’s arrived, and our hearts are so full of love and gratitude!” Loreal posted. “Embracing these first days quietly resting, adjusting, and soaking in every little moment has been amazing! Thank you for your love and for respecting this sweet time of privacy.”
Steve, 51, replied to her post with three blue hearts and added the post to his Instagram story. The two announced plans to divorce in July 2024, citing their busy schedules, but have since worked it out. Loreal spoke with KXAN in 2022 to talk about her life of fashion, football and everything in between.
The two married in 2020 when Sarkisian was an assistant coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Loreal, 39, owns a styling business and founded the XOLO Foundation and was a track and field coach for the Unviersity of Southern California. She was an All-American hurdler at North Carolina A&T University under her maiden name, Loreal Smith, and competed in the U.S. Olympics Trials.
Steve has three children with his first wife, Stephanie. His son Brady is a junior linebacker on the Longhorns football team. Texas is in the middle of spring practice for the upcoming 2025-26 season, preparing for its season opener Aug. 30 against defending national champions Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
