It’s the first weekend of April which, as the adage goes, promises rain showers — and that means one thing only for us: an excuse to settle in and binge something new.

This weekend, April 5-6, we have quite the exciting lineup, from two extremely popular TV shows coming to an end to the premiere of a few new ones that span a wide range of topics from a cancer patient finding her sexual awakening to a group of adults with autism finding love.

If you’re looking for something to do with your kids this weekend, a Jack Black-led family-friendly movie is hitting theaters as well — and if your child is into video games, it’ll especially be a hit!

And there’s more! Here’s a list of the 10 best new movies and shows to watch this weekend and where to stream them.

Aptly titled, Black is indeed leading a Minecraft movie — and it is spot-on in bringing the cube animation to life (including square-headed pandas and sheep!).

By his side are Jason Momoa and Wednesday‘s Emma Myers as they navigate the terrain already well-known to lovers of the popular video game.

I’m sorry to those of us who have been using our Sunday nights to escape from our dreary, wintery lives the past two months and escape into a world of glamour and opulence on the sunny coast of Thailand — that’s all coming to an end this weekend.

The 90-minute season 3 finale of The White Lotus is coming April 6, and the creators are teasing it’ll be bigger than ever — they’ve even gone to the utmost lengths to keep it a secret, including writing six fake endings lest one get spoiled.

“We kind of distributed fake endings to people just in case someone leaked anything, and then we could say there’s different fake endings,” executive producer David Bernad told PEOPLE.

“And then when we shot the ending scene, it’s a locked down set,” he continued. “So no one really has access to what we were shooting and there would be no non-White Lotus participants ever seeing what we’re doing.”

Did you miss Abbey and David? We did too! But thankfully, one of Netflix’s most heartwarming shows, Love on the Spectrum is back for season 3 — which was released on April 2 — and the fan-favorite couple are still going strong.

Joining them are a number of others on the autism spectrum as they navigate the dating world and look for true love.

In 2010, a number of human remains were found on Gilgo Beach in Long Island. Authorities ultimately uncovered the bodies of at least 10 people, the majority of whom were female sex workers. Over a decade later, the alleged Long Island Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, was arrested.

Now, as Heuermann awaits his day in court, Netflix’s Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer takes a closer look at the case — and the controversial DNA evidence that led them to their suspect.

When Molly Kochan (Michelle Williams) learns she is facing a terminal breast cancer diagnosis, she decides to leave her husband and go on what her mom (Sissy Spacek) deems a “sex quest” to finally experience an orgasm.

With her best friend, Nikki Boyer (Jenny Slate), by her side, Kochan engages in a number of sexual activities with various men and, along the way, learns to accept her diagnosis and love herself.

Based on the true story of Kochan and Boyer, Dying for Sex, which was released on April 4, will undoubtedly bring you to tears (as it did us while writing this … ).

Move over Meredith and Derek, there’s a new ER love story commanding the small screen. Grey’s Anatomy may have hit its 20th anniversary last month, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for one more medical drama (with messy romances) — and Netflix wants in.

Pulse follows young ER doctor Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) as she’s promoted to chief resident among the fallout of her relationship with the previous chief, Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell). When a hurricane hits the Miami hospital they work at, her skills — professionally and socially — are put to the test.

Another fan-favorite show is coming to an end — and it might be permanent. The Yellowstone prequel will air its season 2 finale on April 6, but a third season has yet to be announced.

This finale even has The White Lotus beat with a two-hour runtime, but Brandon Sklenar, who plays lead Spencer Dutton, assured PEOPLE it is worth every minute.

“I mean, I couldn’t even prep it because it would just make me so emotional reading it,” he said. “Even thinking about it, I get emotional.”

After a successful first season, Survival of the Thickest is back with season 2 and Michelle Buteau’s Mavis is back and funnier than ever as she navigates being a single 30-something trying to build a plus size fashion brand from the bottom up.

With a fun cast (hello, reality stars Peppermint and Garcelle Beauvais!), the show promises to be just as funny and empowering as its first season.

Kevin Bacon is back in another action movie — but this one has a supernatural twist because he’s already dead. Now, he’s a bounty hunter hunting demons in Prime Video’s The Bondsman.

The action star may be used to the gore as a veteran of the horror genre, but even he gets spooked out by his own projects.

“Every once in a while, if you’ve just been living in a certain headspace, it’ll start to take its toll on you,” Bacon told PEOPLE of whether he gets nightmares after filming. “It’s funny you say that because last night my dreams were starting to get pretty intense and scary, and every once in a while it just catches up with you.”

Two London crime families are at war in this mob drama starring Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as the patriarch and matriarch of the Harrigans. Stuck in the middle is Tom Hardy‘s character, who is a bounty hunter (a recurring theme this week I suppose!) ready to fight for his own power.
