1m agoI just want to point out that we’re nearly 40 minutes into this new trade world and there’s no word yet from Mexican officials on potential retaliation against the US tariffs. President Claudia Sheinbaum had said she’ll wait for Trump’s final announcement before retaliating — and she didn’t immediately respond since yesterday when Trump said Mexico and Canada couldn’t escape from the latest levies.

We also know that officials are open to slapping their own tariffs on Chinese imports to avoid levies from the US … but the US tariffs have already come into place.
