Legendary country duo star walks off stage during encore of iconic song

Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn walked off stage Friday during the encore performance of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” in Indiana.

The singer, 71, battled illness throughout the night.

Dunn made it through the first verse then told the crowd to “sing it if you know it” by time the chorus came around.

He walked up to the front of the stage to wave goodnight to the crowd, patting his chest as if to say that his voice had given out. Then, he turned around and left.

According to Taste of Country, Dunn’s voice cracked when attempting high notes and appeared “winded” at times. He also spent time sitting during the night’s show.
