TNT captured Kevin Durant jerking his arm away from Phoenix Suns coach Mike Budenholzer while heading to the bench during a timeout in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers at PHX Arena.
Budenholzer was saying something to Durant. As Durant walked past, Budenholzer stuck out his hand to Durant, who then reacted by pulling his arm away.
Durant then turned and said something to Budenholzer on the replay.
TNT sideline reporter Stephanie Ready said during the timeout that Durant and Budenholzer had a “discussion” over a “miscommunication” in an offensive set.
Budenholzer has been under scrutiny during his first season as head coach in Phoenix as the Suns are 28-33 and 11th in the West. Durant has had words with Budenholzer during games this season.
The Suns ended the first quarter with a 30-24 lead, but trailed, 65-49, at the break.
