FORECAST COMING UP. BACK TO YOU. ALL RIGHT. THANKS, LOU. MUCH OF THE DAMAGE FROM TONIGHT’S STORMS, IT APPEARS TO BE WIDESPREAD. OUR CREWS ARE ACROSS THE AREA. WE BEGIN WITH MADDIE AUGUSTINE NEAR 78TH AND DUTCH HALL ROAD, NORTH OF THE NORTH OMAHA AIRPORT. MATTY. YEAH. ROB. JULIE. WE ARE JUST SOUTH OF DUTCH HALL ROAD ON 78TH STREET. AND JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THIS GRASS OVER HERE. IT’S BEEN COMPLETELY PUSHED DOWN AND SIDEWAYS, AND THIS FENCE LINE ALL ALONG, IT HAS ALSO JUST BEEN COMPLETELY TAKEN OUT. YOU CAN SEE SOME DEBRIS JUST LAYING ON THE GROUND HERE BEHIND ME. AND NEIGHBORS IN THE AREA TELL ME THIS TORNADO MISSED THEIR HOMES BY JUST MERELY 50 YARDS. YOU CAN ALSO SEE SOME OF THIS MONSTROUS HAIL IS STILL ON THE GROUND, JUST GIVING YOU AGAIN, A PICTURE OF HOW LARGE THAT HAIL WAS. AND THIS IS JUST A FRACTION OF THE DAMAGE THAT THE DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THEY ARE SEEING IN THIS AREA. A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN EVER SO BRIEFLY, BUT LONG ENOUGH TO CREATE SOME PRETTY GOOD DAMAGE IN THE AREA. SOME OBVIOUSLY SOME LARGE AMOUNTS OF HAIL CAME THROUGH. WE’VE SEEN DAMAGE, ROOF DAMAGE, SIDING. TONS OF TREE. TREES THAT WERE KNOCKED DOWN. TONS OF OUTER BUILDINGS THAT HAVE BEEN ESSENTIALLY SPLIT IN HALF, AND SO FORTH. THERE ARE ALSO SEVERAL DAMAGED POWER LINES, SOME DOWNED POWER LINES. AND FOR THAT REASON, WITH ALL THE OTHER DAMAGE GOING ON, THE DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS ASKING THE PUBLIC TO STAY CLEAR OF THE AREA FROM 72ND TO ABOUT 84TH STREET AND OMAHA CHASE STREET TO ABOUT DUTCH HALL ROAD. AS CLEANUP IS UNDERWAY HERE, AND DCSO WILL HAVE DEPUTIES OUT IN THE AREA ALL NIGHT AND THROUGH THE MORNING. REPORTING LIVE NEAR DUTCH HALL ROAD. MADD
