Steve Austin Breaks Silence On One More Match Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 41

Steve Austin has once again been asked if he has considered one final match during an appearance at WrestleMania 41.

At WrestleMania 38, Austin competed in his first match in 19 years as he faced off against Kevin Owens. With many being positive about The Texas Rattlesnake’s first match in nearly 2 decades, there was hope that Austin might make a comeback for one more match or an extended run. However, despite what many had hoped, Austin has not been seen on WWE TV since 2022.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show ahead of WrestleMania 41, McAfee asked Austin if there was any possibility of one more match:

“No, I don’t think about anything like that. I’ve kind of moved on down the road. Don’t get me wrong, the competitive side of me, which kind of transfers into the racing that I’m doing, I want to be the best at everything that I do. You still go back and you watch the guys and the girls in the ring in WWE and you think I could have given Kevin Owens a little bit more than what I had.”

Continuing, Austin made it clear that one more match would not happen, but he did not rule out hitting some Stunners:

“Sometimes you think about it but I think the time right now in the ring is for the younger generation. That’s for the young men and women that are out on the road. I’ll leave it to them. They’ve taken it to a great place, the business has grown to something that I would never have imagined. Don’t get me wrong I can still whip some ass, but I’m not looking to get back in the ring at any time in the future because these young cats need something to shoot for. Stone Cold don’t need to beat nobody’s ass anymore. And that’s the bottom line because I said so.”

Kevin Owens Details How Steve Austin Dream Match Came To Be

Although it appeared that Austin had retired from the ring back in 2003, many were stunned to see The Bionic Redneck make his return to the ring against Kevin Owens in 2022. Speaking about the match, Kevin Owens recalled the process of getting Steve Austin out of retirement.
