The clash of the two teams in the top 4 of the IPL 2025 points table saw the Punjab Kings beat hosts Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 5 wickets in a rain-curtailed match that only consisted of 14 overs per side at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The win saw PBKS jump up to double digits with 10 points on the table and surpass RCB as well. Now DC and PBKS both sit on 10 points with Gujarat, RCB and Lucknow Super Giants trailing by 2 points on the night. KKR and Mumbai sit on 6 points each while the bottom 3 – Rajasthan, Hyderabad and Chennai only have 4 points in their tally so far.

In the race for the IPL 2025 orange cap, Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Nicholas Pooran is still leading the chart with 357 runs. He is followed closely by GT’s Sai Sudharsan (329 runs) and his teammate Mitchell Marsh (295 runs) at the number two and three spots respectively.

Despite his team’s lacklustre performances so far this season, CSK’s Noor Ahmad continues to lead the top wicket-takers chart with 12 wickets from seven matches. DC’s Kuldeep Yadav, his teammate Khaleel Ahmed and LSG’s Shardul Thakur are the next in the list with 11 wickets each. MI’s Hardik Pandya completes the top five, claiming 11 wickets in six matches, including a standout five-wicket haul.
