Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are already a sure-fire Hall of Fame group with 12 tag team reigns behind them, but at WrestleMania 41, they are going for gold once again.
The New Day is one of WWE‘s most decorated groups ever and, once upon a time, one of the most beloved.
However, since Big E was kicked out of the group during the stable’s 10-year anniversary, fans have turned on the duo.
After a slow build, now the New Day will challenge the War Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Championships on night one of WrestleMania 41 and add another reign to their legacies.
A man looking to secure his first reign as world champion is Jey Uso, a rival the New Day know extremely well and their careers will forever be linked.

The pair turned their back on Big E back in December 2024 at their 10-year anniversary
Another legendary tag team performer, Uso won the 2025 Royal Rumble and will challenge Gunther on the same opening night of WrestleMania.
New Day believe Uso can get the job done and are happy to see one of their former rival rise up – but they also have another agenda.
‘I think it’s great, I just think that he’s ungrateful to us,’ fired Kingston. ‘It’s awesome that he’s finally able to be in the limelight, we’ve always seen the boy’s talent. We’ve known that he’s talented.
‘We’ve gone toe-to-toe with him and his brother, epic battles. As a matter of fact, right here in Vegas one happened. We actually humbled them, became tag team champions right here in Vegas and twerked on the strip,’ Kingston enjoyed explaining.

‘That put Jey Uso down where he had to rise up. We put him in his place and now, there he is at the top, WrestleMania, wrestling for the world heavyweight title. It’s amazing. I just wish he would appreciate us a little bit more. We did have a lot to do with his success.’
‘And the thing about Jey Uso winning the championship,’ Woods started. ‘It’s going to make the show very interesting. That means that there’s going to be a lot of people coming out of the woodwork to have some conversations with Jey – some very needed conversations with Jey Uso. If he wins, I think that’s great for him. But I don’t think he will keep that championship very long.
New Day are challenging for tag team gold at WrestleMania, but it seems they have one eye on challenging Uso if he manages to dethrone Gunther, too.
