Brat summer may be over, but Charli XCX is still riding the wave of pop-star girl power with the likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. Now the English singer and songwriter is bringing her buoyant beats and catchy refrains to Indio for Coachella 2025—and though she’s technically not Saturday night’s headliner, she’s by far one of the most anticipated acts this weekend, especially after her standout set last weekend.
Here’s everything we know—and a few things we predict—about her performance before she takes the stage again in Indio.
What day is Charli XCX performing at Coachella?
She’ll be performing on Saturday, April 19, during the festival’s second weekend (she already played Saturday, April 12, during the first weekend).
What time will Charli XCX play the Coachella stage?
Charli will take the stage at 7:20pm and is scheduled to perform till 8:15pm. She’s playing the Coachella—a.k.a. the main—stage after T-Pain and before the penultimate act of the night, Green Day.
Has Charli XCX played Coachella before?
Yes—Charli played Coachella just two years ago, when she also performed on the main stage but earlier in the evening, before Rosalía, Blackpink and Calvin Harris.
Any news on Charli XCX’s setlist for Coachella?
The setlist hasn’t been released for Charli’s weekend two performance, but we have a pretty good idea of what she’ll be playing from looking at the first weekend’s setlist, most of which came from the Grammy-winning Brat and also Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, an album of Brat remixes Charli released last October.
She started things off with the Shygirl remix of Brat closer “365” played back-to-back with the album’s first track, “360.” “Von dutch,” “Club classics,” “Unlock it,” “Talk talk,” “I might say something stupid,” “Apple,” “Girl, so confusing,” “Everything is romantic,” “Sympathy is a knife” and “Guess” followed, as well as the album version of “365.” She closed the set with “Track 10” off her 2017 mixtape Pop 2, followed by perennial party anthem “I Love It”—technically a cover of the Icona Pop song that Charli cowrote and sang on in 2012, which originally helped propel her to fame.
What special guests might show up?
For weekend one, Charli brought out a trio of special guests, including, as we predicted, Billie Eilish to perform their version of chart-topping track “Guess” (by far Charli’s most-played track on Spotify) near the end of her set. First up, though, was her friend Troye Sivan, who helped out with “Talk talk” and came back out for “I Love It.” Lorde also took the stage to sing her verse of the remixed “Girl, so confusing,” the track about the two singers’ friendship.
There’s a chance the same special guests will show up for the second weekend, or Charli might have an entirely different lineup in mind. There are plenty of exciting options, given the roster of musical talent that collaborated with her on Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat. Top contenders include Shygirl for “365,” Addison Rae for “Von dutch,” Kesha for “Spring breakers,” the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas for “Mean girls” or even Ariana Grande for “Sympathy is a knife.” Another out-there possibility is Iggy Azalea showing up to resurrect “Fancy,” which Charli famously featured on back in 2014.
