‘Gilmore Girls’ producers reveal their thoughts on Rory Gilmore love life

The Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino weighed in on who Rory Gilmore should’ve ended up in the hit 2000’s TV show.

Alex Bledel, who played the protagonist Rory in the series, had different love interest throughout the seven seasons. However, she settled with none.

The series ending with Rory staying single, sparked a debate among fans on who would’ve been the perfect boyfriend for the lead character.

In an interview with E! News, Amy shared her shocking opinion over the boyfriends’ discussion.

Instead of being in “team” of any love interest, the creator said, “Team Rory,” adding, “What she wants, she can have.”

The producer was joined by her husband Daniel Palladino, who revealed his thoughts saying, “We know all three of those guys very well.”

“We kind of feel like we raised them young. They were young, young, young men,” he explained.

The three male love interest in the drama were Jared Padalecki (Dean), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess), and Matt Czuchry (Logan).

The couple went on to share how they met Padalecki, saying, “We literally stood at the bus station and waited for a young, good-looking guy to come in from Texas.”

Daniel went on to gush about the three stars, saying that, “we love all those guys. They’re all very, very different and we work on team all three.”

The Gilmore Girls is based on Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), a single mother to a sixteen year-old, Rory. The show explores the close mother-daughter bond and Rory’s experiences in high school and college.
