I feel less confident today about the Saints and Shadour than I ever have throughout this process.

I’ve had multiple people tell me that they think The Saints might actually be going defense, not quarterback at all.

Plus we have the people that think that the Saints are gonna go Jackson Dart.

Like, there’s a what if here of the Saints, Frank, particularly passing on a quarterback this year, that feels stunning to me.

In the last 24 hours, Shador Sanders has gone from the favorite to go to the Saints to being at some sports books 9 to 1.

So I, I think the odds are just shifted because everybody’s realized the Saints aren’t really in on Shadour.

And now what they do, I don’t know.

No, but I have thought about this scenario in my head.

When you think of New Orleans and you think of football, what, what do you think about?

You think about the Saints, obviously, but who’s the royal family there?

The Mannings have been pretty big in New Orleans, and at some point, doesn’t ownership get involved and say, we, Kellen, we don’t care if you go 1 in 16 this year if you get Arch Manning next year.

Now, Arch Manning might stay in Texas, I get that.

But what could turn around the states?

What could like even Saints fans, I believe.

would be on board with, yeah, we’re not going anywhere anyway.

We’re very mediocre, we’re very boring.

Derek Carr’s trying to divorce us of all people.

What can give us some juice in this franchise?

I agree with Frank that the Saints getting Arch Manning next year would be one of the better options for them, but I think that it’s very, very hard to plan around one future player because you can’t guarantee you’re going to get that guy.

It’s pretty hard to not win it all.

And also, there are a lot of people in the league who will tell you that if You’re in the first year of a coaching staff and you really don’t win at all and you don’t feel like there’s progress, well, then the coach risks losing the locker room.

Now, what I think is important, though, is that if you’re Callen Moore and you’re this new coaching staff and you understand the state of your roster and how many holes there are in New Orleans right now, you should get the best player available.

You should just get some sort of premier talent in the top 10 and make sure that you can build around them.

Here’s the thing though, Joey, like, it’s not just Arch Manning cause that’s kind of the Uh, the draft porn, right?

But there’s other quarterbacks in the 2026 draft who project pretty well right now.

If you talk to anybody, it’s like, yes, the 2026 class is really kind of restocking the shells, Drew Aller and all those kind of guys.

But if you don’t, if you, if you end up with the fifth pick, you could still get a difference making quarterback.

If you don’t love Shaer Sanders, if you don’t love Jackson Dart, screw it.

Who cares?

Wait till 2026.
