Top takeaways from Les Snead and Sean McVay’s pre-2025 NFL Draft press conference: Not ruling out Jalen Ramsey reunion, Draft HQ at LAFD Air Operations, more

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay held their annual pre-draft press conference Tuesday afternoon, discussing the Dolphins making cornerback Jalen Ramsey available for trade, drafting out of Los Angeles Fire Department Air Operations, and other topics.

More on those top takeaways below:

Ramsey reunion not being ruled out

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier last week confirmed the team and Ramsey mutually agreed to seek a trade.

Neither Snead nor McVay ruled out the possibility of Ramsey being brought back to the Rams.

Snead confirmed he’s had discussions with the Dolphins as part of standard annual draft week conversations each team has. He said they’ve discussed getting through the draft. Both he and McVay noted the layers involved with a player of Ramsey’s caliber, between getting through this week’s draft first, getting back together with the pro scouting staff and the expectation that other teams will be interested in Ramsey.

“There’s a lot of nuances to that situation based on all the things that come with a trade, contracts and things like that,” Snead said. “So not sure where they’re at in the process.”

“He’s a great player, we know him very well. We know him intimately,” McVay said. “You would certainly never rule out the possibility of that, but I think like Les articulated, our focus and concentration is on this week’s upcoming draft. There’s a lot of layers that would need to be worked out with a player of his magnitude and some of the different things that accompany that, but you would never eliminate the possibility of adding a total stud and a guy that can do a lot of different things, like he’s continued to do, like he did here, like he did in Jacksonville and like he’s done for the last couple years in Miami.”
