The 2024-25 NBA playoffs are in full swing and there have been some great games already played in the first round. However, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and the NBA on TNT crew were not thrilled when they found out the television schedule for Thursday’s slate of games.
In the early game on TNT, the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons will be aired at 7:00 p.m. ET. After that, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies will take the TNT late slot at 9:30 p.m.
Left off of the TNT broadcast schedule is Game 3 of the Denver Nuggets versus Los Angeles Clippers series, which has been the best series through the first two games so far.
Neither Barkley or O’Neal were happy when the broadcast schedule was revealed.
Barkley started off the feedback by saying, “Are y’all serious right now… y’all got the best series going on NBA TV.”
O’Neal quickly agreed with him.
“Can we make a trade, that Thunder and that Nuggets game? I’m with you Chuck,” O’Neal said.

Looking at the first two games of each series, it’s easy to see why Barkley and O’Neal both had a strong reaction to which games were being broadcasted on TNT.
To begin the Thunder-Grizzlies series, Oklahoma City won Game 1 by a final score of 131-80 and took care of business 118-99 in Game 2. That series has not been entertaining at all.
As for the Nuggets-Clippers series, Game 1 went to Denver 112-110 and Game 2 was won by Los Angeles by a final score of 105-102.
