Weekend Forecast(Fox Carolina)
Storms will come through late Friday and continuing into overnight Saturday. A line of showers and embedded storms should sweep through. Right now, no severe weather is expected with this batch of storms, but heavy rain, gusty winds and some thunder and lightning are expected.
Heavy downpours and lightning(Fox Carolina)
Rain totals through Saturday night bring another half an inch to 2″ for most areas but some localized areas could get up to around 4″ in the coming days if you get set-up under a heavy downpour. While widespread flooding isn’t expected to be an issue, there could be some localized issues is some of the more typical areas.
Rain over the next 5 days(Fox Carolina)
A cold front swings through Saturday bringing one last final shot at some showers and storms. It will be much more isolated than previous day as the front is rather moisture starved. However, we could still get a storm or two at any point during the day.
Sunny and slightly cooler conditions Sunday(Fox Carolina)
The front clears the area Sunday ushering in some slightly cooler and drier air. Highs will top out in the 70s Sunday with lots of sunshine. Temperatures will warm back into the 80s by the middle part of next week and the humidity will be increasing as well next week.
