BRISCOE COUNTY, Texas — Severe weather has made an appearance for the second evening in a row.

On Thursday afternoon, viewer Bary Nusz captured video of a tornado touch down outside Silverton.

Nusz sent video of the tornado to ABC7’s chief meteorologist Corbin Voges.

The tornado was on the ground from 6:11 p.m. until 6:16 p.m. and no damage was reported.

Another tornado was spotted outside Miami on Thursday as well.

Much of the Texas Panhandle was under a tornado watch Thursday afternoon.

By Thursday evening the tornado watch had been lifted for Amarillo, however a severe thunderstorm watch remained in effect for several counties in the area.

According to the National Weather Service Amarillo, as of 7 p.m. “storms have intensified and are producing large hail now.”
