What’s the buzz on Twitter?

Law Murray @LawMurrayTheNU Game 3 was the 17th time that Nikola Jokić had in any game (including playoffs): – 10+ assists – no more than 2 turnovers – at least 2 3s – 60%+ FGs Jokić’s team has only lost 4 of those games, and none in playoffs before Thursday.

Law Murray @LawMurrayTheNU The Nuggets led 26-19 with 3:15 left in 1st quarter Game 3 Not only did the Clippers end up out outscoring the Nuggets in each quarter, they had a different leading scorer in each quarter 1st: Harden 2nd: Zubac 3rd: Powell 4th: Leonard

Sam Quinn @SamQuinnCBS

Ant knocked off Durant and Jokic last year. He’s two wins away from adding LeBron and Luka to the list this year. Not many 24-year-olds in NBA history with a resume like that. – 12:30 AM

Jorge Sierra @hoopshype Most times leading an NBA season in scoring (regular season + playoffs) 10: Michael Jordan 6: Wilt Chamberlain 5: George Mikan, Kobe Bryant 4: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 3: James Harden, LeBron James, KD, George Gervin

2: Iverson, Pettit, English, Fulks, West, Tatum, McAdoo, Shaq – 4:03 PM

Chris Mannix @SIChrisMannix

Hearing everyone in LA — from Ty Lue to Kawhi Leonard to James Harden — speak about the impact Jeff Van Gundy has had makes it hard to believe he won’t get an HC job this spring. JVG is one of the great defensive minds of this generation. – 2:26 AM

Law Murray @LawMurrayTheNU Asked James Harden about Clippers locking in after halftime and not letting Nuggets get any closer than 17 points in second half

Harden made it clear that this Clippers team is not going to be satisfied with leads or even singular victories going forward. They can be even better pic.x.com/41UzTEe7612:21 AM

Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne

This is about as good of a first playoff game in the Intuit Dome as the Clippers could’ve hoped for. Packed house, easy win, big performances from Kawhi, Harden and Zubac. – 12:49 AM

Sam Vecenie @Sam_Vecenie lol Denver tried literally everything tonight to slow down the Clippers. They played some zone. They showed and recovered with Jokic. They played some drop. Tried to shrink the lane by playing off Dunn.

None of it mattered lol. – 12:35 AM

Ryan Blackburn @NBABlackburn Halftime Rotations for the Nuggets as they trail the Clippers 65-48. Nikola Jokic: 9-6-8, 4/6 FG Jamal Murray: 13 points, 2 assists, 5/10 FG, 1/3 3P Russ struggled, Watson, Pickett, and DJ got cardio out there. Denver’s bench scored 3 points.

James Harden is going to be 40 and still cooking guys off the dribble. 20 points for Harden. 20 point second quarter lead for the Clippers. – 11:12 PM

Tony Jones @Tjonesonthenba

The Clippers are never going to guard Russell Westbrook, no matter how many shots he makes….I don’t think he’s playable in this series going forward….All LA is going to do is put his man in Nikola Jokic’s lap – 11:07 PM

Tony Jones @Tjonesonthenba

With 2:34 remaining in the first quarter, the Nuggets lead the Clippers 26-25……Nikola Jokic has seven assists….in the first quarter – 10:38 PM

Marc J. Spears @MarcJSpears

With Los Angeles #Clippers, James Harden has opportunity at more than a franchise first-ever championship. Return to hometown ‘ultimate blessing’ for 11-time #NBA All-Star, his loved ones, his Impact13 Foundation and the Clippers. Story in @andscape bit.ly/4m2IIAL9:40 AM

More on this storyline

Growing up, who’d you watch film of and then when you got taller, did you have to change the guys you were watching? BM: I mean, when I was really young, I kind of watched basketball just for fun, right? I didn’t analyze it. The first player I heard of was LeBron James, Kobe Bryant. I mean, just watching those guys for fun, right? But as soon as I started training pro at about 17, you kind of become more realistic and watch what you can do at your age and your capabilities on the court. So I don’t know who I watch. Really there’s not many tall guys who want to dribble. So I don’t know, obviously you look at the guys from your region like [Nikola] Jokic, Ivica Zubac, Filip Petrusev, kind of guys that have similar backgrounds to mine. So yeah, those are guys that I have maybe main focus. -via HoopsHype / April 25, 2025
