Game 3 between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets might just turn the series in the favor of whoever wins, with the series now tied 1-1. Golden State managed to grab a split in Houston, stealing home court advantage and setting themselves up to play three of the possible final five games in front of their home crowd. The Warriors are back in San Francisco with a chance to build some momentum, but there are some major questions heading into Saturday night.
The biggest storyline from Game 2 wasn’t the 109-94 Rockets win, but the injury to Jimmy Butler, who left early in the first quarter with a pelvic contusion and is expected to likely miss Game 3. Without him, the Warriors struggled offensively, and Brandon Podziemski was limited by illness, finishing with no points, rebounds, or assists. Still, the game was competitive for much of the night.
On the other side, Jalen Green came alive with 38 points, and Houston crushed Golden State on the boards, pulling down 47 rebounds to the Warriors’ 33. With Butler out, the Rockets will likely continue to pressure Steph Curry with multiple defenders to disrupt Golden State’s rhythm.
The Warriors enter as 3.5-point favorites, but in a series like this, no lead or points spread feels safe. Game 3 tips off on Saturday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m. PDT, and you can tune in with Sling TV.
