2025 NASCAR Power Rankings Pre-Chaos At Talladega – Belly Up Sports

We are back NASCAR fans with some much needed updates to the Belly Up Sports 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings. It’s been two weeks since I’ve got to tell you all why I have drivers ranked where I do. However did you noticed that beautiful main site upgrade? Anyways let’s get this rolling and you can let me know what you think after!

Joey had another “mid” day at Darlington. He was able to grab stage points at the stage two conclusion but finished p13. Then we probably shouldn’t even talk about Bristol, he qualified bad, ran bad and finished bad. Joey needs to avoid the big one and get a solid finish this week or at the very least hope some of his competitors on these 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings have worse days than him.

Darlington was good for some of the JGR camp and not good for others. Chase fell on the not good side of the spectrum. Bristol was way better though and he finished in the top five and grabbed some much needed stage points as well after stage two. We will see what happens for the nineteen driver and team this weekend at Talladega.

Darlington stunk after getting sent into the inside wall on the backstretch and not being able to finish the race. He however came to Bristol and didn’t do bad. Josh grabbed a top fifteen finish after two rough weeks in a row. He’s another driver that I can’t tell you what to expect from at Talladega. He falls with most of the field in the “wait and see” zone.

Rowdy finished top ten at Darlington. Headed to Bristol full of confidence, that maybe just maybe we could see the Rowdy of old. He unfortunately didn’t have a good race but finished p14. Richard Childress racing has showed speed on the drafting tracks, but it’s not always about speed. Hopefully he can find a lucky penny this week before the race to have a little luck on his side for the race.

Darlington wasn’t as good as it some wanted to to be for this team. Chris was able to get stage points in stage one and finished in the top ten. Bristol looked good after that but it was a forgettable weekend on the high banks of Bristol for Chris.

It’s been a rough three weeks for Alex and his team. He probably needed the Easter break more than most. Darlington was improving before getting into the wall broke a tow link and killed his day. Then Bristol started off great, pole award got stage points in both stages only for the motor to expire in stage three. Alex has averaged around a 14th place finish in his last five races with one top five. He could recover for sure his rankings drop in the 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings.

The last two races didn’t start out great for him with qualifying outside of the top twenty. Ross has been able to communicate what he needs good enough to his team where he has been able to drive into the top ten for the last three races really. Ross is normally caught in a lot of the mess on these drafting races, but if he can miss it this time he aggressiveness late could be what is needed to get his first win of the year.

Bubba had a rough two week stretch at Darlington and Bristol. He qualified well at Darlington but the car went south after stage one points where earned causing him a finish of 21st. Bristol was just forgettable all together poor qualifying, and race. Bubba has become one of the sports better over all drafting track racers but only has the one rain shortened win. Could he do it again this week without the weather?

Chase grabbed a top ten finish at Darlington. However no stage points. Which isn’t what you want to see from a hopeful championship contender right? He also was thrown in the pool of “forgettable Bristol performances” with much of his competitors. I think Talladgea could be the turn around for him but I’ll continue to say this a few more times. It’s Talladgea, and anything can happen.

Tyler had an awesome Darlington. He was able to lead 42 laps and grab stage points in both stages. Bristol wasn’t near as good. Tyler grabbed stage two points but finished 18th. He won at Talladega last year, from just being in the right spot and there is no reason why he couldn’t do it again. I don’t suspect though he will be outside the top five on the 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings for long Tyler is too good.

Darlington was his race winning both stages, and leading 243 laps total. Until it wasn’t he did rally though to finish runner-up. Now as for Bristol the race was a tough one to begin with but William and Rudy worked on the car and he got it into the top ten to finish things out. If he can continue this consistently watch out NASCAR fans.

I already gave dude his flowers after Martinsville on Short Pit. However I will say I didn’t expect him to knock out another win at Darlington. Credit to the eleven pit crew because they got him the top spot on the late caution restart. He then went onto Bristol grabbed stage points in both stages and finished second. Denny once again proving he’s still one of the best in the sport I guess.

Bell is on a good run as well coming back from the Easter break. Not near as good as his teammates mentioned before him, but good none the less. He’s been grabbing stage points, and finishing the races in the top ten. C Bell is one of the top guys in the sport right now and hes proving it each week as well.

This very easily could be a swapped number one and number two positions on these 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings. Had a late caution not fell at Darlington he probably wins the race. Plus if the race goes a different way after a strategy call was made at Bristol he possibly could’ve been in contention more for that win. He however is getting stage points and top five finishes can’t ask for much more than that minus winning.

What a completely typical span of two weeks for Kyle. He wrecked out on lap four at Darlington only to have his team bust ass to get him back on the track to get wrecked in the same exact spot with four laps to go in the race. Then proceeds to go to Bristol and absolutely kick everyone’s ass. He won both stages and led 411 laps. I know Larson Nation is probably preparing for a bad weekend at Talladega but as for now soak it in he’s number one on one more Power rankings list.

Alright everyone, I know I dropped an image a week or two ago showing you updates after Martinsville on Twitter. However I hadn’t updated you all since then and we had some good racing and some very boring racing. How’d your driver fair this week in the return of the weekly 2025 NASCAR Power Rankings update?
