Police: 1-year-old girl and mother abducted, triggering Amber Alert

(Gray News) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a 1-year-old girl from North Carolina after police say she and her mother were abducted by three suspects.

Police are searching for 1-year-old Grecia Salome Alejandro-Benitez after she was abducted along with her mother, Alondra Michelle Benitez-De Jesus.

The mother and daughter were last seen at a home on Buck Branch Drive in Garner, North Carolina. An Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday.

WRAL reports two men and a woman wearing masks and carrying guns broke into the home and demanded $1 million from Eliuth Martinez. He refused to comply, so the suspects restrained him with tape and took his wife and daughter.

Grecia is described as a Hispanic female who is about 2 feet tall and weighs 26 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink pajama shirt and red and yellow striped pajama pants.

The three suspects are described as a Hispanic female described as short and stocky with black, curly hair and two Hispanic males. They were last seen traveling in a black Nissan Altima.

The FBI and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are helping with the investigation.
