Nuggets Make Major Russell Westbrook, Michael Porter Jr. Announcement Before Game 5 vs. Clippers

The Denver Nuggets are at home on Tuesday night as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5 of their first round series.

Tuesday’s game is a crucial one for both sides with the series tied up at a game apiece as both teams will look to regain control of the series.

It looked as though late in Game 4 that the Clippers would have a chance to wrap the series up on Tuesday night but that changed after Aaron Gordon slammed down the buzzer-beating dunk to give the Nuggets the victory and tie the series.

Now, the Nuggets return home for Game 5 as they look to use their home court to their advantage and take a 3-2 series lead.

Denver also received some positive news regarding the health of two of their key players before Game 5.

Ahead of Tuesday’s contest, the Nuggets announced that both Russell Westbrook and Michael Porter Jr. will be available to play despite dealing with injuries.

Westbrook missed Game 4 on Saturday due to left foot inflammation after he appeared to roll his foot in pregame warmups ahead of Game 3.

The former MVP played only nine minutes in Game 3 before being sidelined for Game 4 but he will make his return on Tuesday for the Nuggets.

For Porter Jr., he suffered a left shoulder sprain in Game 2 of the series but he has been able to play through the injury thus far and that will continue into Game 5.

This is massive news for the Nuggets as both Westbrook and Porter Jr. have played a key role for Denver when they are on the court and the Nuggets will desperately need them to be at their best to take down a healthy Clippers team.

Fans can catch Tuesday’s Game 5 matchup between the Clippers and Nuggets at 10:00 p.m. EST on TNT.
