Seasonable temperatures accompanied by widespread soaking rain this morning will continue throughout the weekend, with a brief lull this afternoon from a dry slot. Temperatures will continue to rise today before turning sharply colder behind a cold front tonight. As a low tracks east on Sunday, cooler air and some summit snow showers are possible before warm conditions return to start next week. Dry conditions will develop Monday before shower and thunderstorm chances return Tuesday. Saturday looks cloudy and wet, with steady rain expected throughout the morning. The afternoon hours turn drier, but there will still be a few leftover showers and downpours. Some afternoon breaks of sun are possible as well. Highs reach the low to mid-60s.Tonight will be cloudy, with a few passing rain showers. There may be some snowflakes that mix in for the mountains after midnight, especially in the Adirondacks. Lows reach the 30s and 40s.Sunday looks much colder, with clouds and rain showers. It will be cold enough for some snow in the mountains. Depending on how quickly an upper-level low departs, the late afternoon may turn drier. Some breaks of sun are possible late in the day in northern New York. Highs only reach the 40s and 50s.Drastic improvement is expected Monday, with lots of sunshine and highs near 70!Tuesday will be even warmer, with highs in the upper 70s, though there will be more clouds. A few late day showers and thunderstorms are likely, as a cold front approaches.That front knocks us back down into the 50s for Wednesday, with a mix of sun and clouds.
