Brian Snitker isn’t known for letting players have off-days, and with a season sweep (derogatory) as a possibility, the Atlanta Braves will send their usual lineup to face the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight, sans the usual Sean Murphy/Drake Baldwin swap (complimentary).
Nick Allen continues to hold down the shortstop position, and while his .278/.329/.329 line isn’t even close to league-average, you can keep starting when you do this:
Otherwise, everyone below the fifth spot in the lineup moves up a spot with Baldwin starting tonight’s game.

For the Dodgers, they also roll out the usual lineup with the exception of Austin Barnes swapping in for Will Smith and Enrique Hernandes swapping in for Chris Taylor. Hernandez is a fun story around my house. He is my wife’s favorite player, and when we first met and she told me he was her favorite player, I thought, “Either she’s just got a thing for utility players, or she just picked a player off a Google search.” Turns out, she has a thing for this particular utility player, and she has made it very clear that she will leave me if given the opportunity to marry him. He is currently sporting a .188/.254/.438 line where he’s striking out nearly 30% of the time but has hit 5 home runs.
