The third leg of the Dodgers homestand brings a National League team to Dodger Stadium, with the Diamondbacks coming to Los Angeles to open a three-game series on Monday night.
This is the second series in two weeks between the divisional rivals. They split four games at Chase Field in Phoenix from May 8-11.
Corbin Carroll had a rough series against the Dodgers in Arizona, with just one hit, a triple, in 16 at-bats during the series. But he’s been on fire ever since, with eight hits in his last 22 at-bat entering Sunday, hitting .364/.440/.818 with three home runs and a double in five games. Carroll on the season has a 158 OPS+ and is tied with third baseman Eugenio Suárez for the Diamondbacks’ team lead with 14 home runs.
The Dodgers will likely have Teoscar Hernández back for this series, perhaps as early as Monday, after missing nearly two weeks with a left groin strain.
