Amen Thompson Calls Out ‘Annoying’ Warriors Fans After Game 6 Win

The Houston Rockets tied their first-round playoff series with the Golden State Warriors on Friday. The Rockets are one win away from becoming the 14th team to come back from a 3-1 deficit.

After the Warriors won back-to-back games at home and took a 3-1 lead, the Rockets responded with two statement wins to force Game 7.

Fred VanVleet and Alperen Sengun led the Rockets to a 115-107 win with 29 and 21 points, respectively. Amen Thompson contributed 14 points to help his squad extend the series to the win-or-go-home matchup.

The second-year forward has taken his game to new levels, and the Warriors have struggled to stop him. Thompson had words for Warriors fans after clocking in 36 minutes and adding seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals to his account.

After the Rockets secured their third win and forced the final game, Thompson sent a message to the “annoying” Warriors while talking with Space City Home Network‘s Vanessa Richardson. He celebrated that he shot down all the noise when his team was on the brink of elimination.

“It meant a lot,” Thompson said post-game. “This crowd be annoying. So just silenced them, obviously. Hometown, it feels good. I got my family.”

The Rockets can join an exclusive club on Sunday, and it seems as though they have the momentum going into Game 7. Besides VanVleet and Sengun’s remarkable performances, Thompson has been a major obstacle for the Dubs.

Whoever wins this series will go against the Anthony Edwards-led Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round.
