Arnold Palmer highlights: Russell Henley chases down Collin Morikawa to earn victory at Bay Hill

Russell Henley is back in the winner’s circle.

He chipped in for eagle on the par-5 16th to steal the lead from Collin Morikawa then made a pair of crucial pars down the stretch to earn the fifth PGA Tour win of his career. Morikawa led for the entirety of the final round, but Henley went 3 under from Nos. 14-16 to win for the first time since 2022.

Could Henley steal this? He gets a clutch par putt to fall on No. 17, and he’s one up with one to play.

Russell Henley holes out for eagle

In a final round that has ben lacking shotmaking on a difficult golf course, Russell Henley chips in for eagle on the par-5 16th. After Morikawa misses his birdie look, Henley now leads with two holes left.

And just like that, Morikawa’s lead is down to 1 with four holes to play. Morikawa makes bogey, and Russell Henley gets a birdie. Morikawa is at 10 under with Henley one back coming down the stretch.

Birdie at 12 grows Collin Morikawa’s lead

After a bogey to open the back nine, Morikawa hits a brilliant chip shot from the rough short of the pin at 12. He gets back to 11 under and has a three-shot lead.

Jason Day gets within 2

Could the Aussie make a push? He gets the birdie to go down at the par-5 12th and moves to 8 under, two back from Morikawa.

Dropped shot for Collin Morikawa at 10

After hitting his tee shot into what Jim “Bones” Mackay called an “impossible” lie, Morikawa can’t find the green in regulation, and his third shot from the bunker comes up well short, leaving him a lengthy look for par. He can’t make it, and Morikawa drops a shot. So, too, does Henley, so Morikawa moves back to 10 under and two ahead of Corey Conners.

Time for the final nine holes at Arnie’s Place. Collin Morikawa holds a three-shot lead over Russell Henley and Corey Conners, sitting at 11 under for the tournament.

Russell Henley gets first birdie

It took until the 8th, but Russell Henley has his first birdie of the day, burying a bomb to get back to 8 under. Morikawa’s lead is still three shots.

Keegan Bradley sets clubhouse lead

There’s a mark to get to in the clubhouse. Bradley finished at 8-under 64 and is in the clubhouse at 7 under for the tournament. He’s four behind of Morikawa but T-3.

Another birdie for Collin Morikawa

And just like that, Collin Morikawa’s lead is three shots. He makes a birdie on the par-4 fifth and gets back to 11 under.

Thanks to Russell Henley’s bogey on the par-5 fourth, Collin Morikawa’s lead is back to two shots. He bogeyed the third hole to move back to 10 under, and Henley is tied for second with Corey Conners.

Keegan Bradley makes first bogey

He was 8 under thru 10 holes, but Keegan Bradley misses the green on the par-3 14th and is unable to get up and down for par. He’s back to 6 under for the tournament and five back of Morikawa.

Not a bad start for Collin Morikawa, who makes a birdie at 1 with a bunker hole out and increases his lead to two shots.

Keegan Bradley goes out in 29

Keegan Bradley is doing his best to post a number. He goes out in 7-under 29, the lowest score all-time on the front nine at Bay Hill.
