I see over at IMDb that actor Blu Mankuma turns 75 years old today. When browsing through his filmography I stumbled over the fact that he appeared in both Stakeout and the sequel Another Stakeout. However apparently he is actually not playing the same character but another one in the sequel. So with that in mind have you other examples of this when an actor appears in both the original movie and then in it`s sequel BUT not as the same character? I do know that it is not uncommon that actors appear in several episodes of television series in different roles but this is movies we talk about so what do you know about this?

For decades I thought so, too. Spence said they were not the same in an interview. Note how he doesn't recognize Max when he meets him at film's end. And he has white teeth in Thunderdome. Also in the sequel but not same role? (56)

Miller has left the Gyro Captain/Jedediah thing up in the air over the years. Also Hugh Keays-Byrne is The Toecutter in MAD MAX and Immortan Joe in FURY ROAD.

Actor Ronald Lacey played Toht (Nazi with glasses who was one of the guys who had his face melted off) in Raiders of the Lost Ark. And in an uncredited role, played Heinrich Himmler in The Last Crusade.

If he had not died in mid 1991, no doubt he would have played another Nazi in one of the last two films.
