Gastonia, North Carolina David Coleman Colvin, Jr. 1962 — 2024 David Colvin, 61, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on June 1, 2024. David was born on August 29, 1962 in Gastonia, NC to David Coleman Colvin, Sr. and Fannie Sue Falls Colvin. David was a fifth generation native of Gastonia and was proud of his heritage. He graduated from Ashbrook High School where he was an athlete and especially excelled in wrestling, having 47 pins in a two year period. He attended Appalachian State University on a wrestling scholarship. He also wrestled at North Carolina State University where he transferred into the School of Design. David was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and was a big Wolfpack fan! He had a very creative mind... She also graduated from the Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse. Susan married Warren Baker in 1962 and they made their home in Raleigh, NC, and then in Charlotte, NC, where they raised two daughters. Later, they lived in Huntersville, NC, and finally, Rock Hill, SC.
