Things to do

Get the best view of the famous Eiger North Face from the new Eiger Express gondola! The world's most modern tricable gondola takes you from Grindelwald to the Eiger Glacier in just 15 minutes.

Take a thrilling, multimedia journey back in time through over 100 years of history of the Jungfrau Railway, an alpine sensation.

A view as far as the Black Forest and the Vosges on one side, and the Aletsch Glacier comes into view on the other side, bordered by four-thousand-metre peaks. On the glacier platform you are guaranteed snow and ice 365 days a year.

On a mirror-smooth tour through a frosty world, you will discover enchanting sculptures in the niches of the Ice Palace. An eagle, penguin or bear, as though they had just turned to ice, appear quite natural.

Too hot in the lowlands? If lounging around in the sun is not your thing, Jungfraujoch is the place for you. At the Snow Fun Park, snow lovers can refresh themselves and give winter sports a try. In the hottest months, the temperatures on the Jungfraujoch are regularly above the zero degree limit.

The highest Lindt shop in the world offers an extensive range of the finest Lindt chocolate and provides exciting insights into chocolate production.

A shudder runs down the spine of whoever enters the 250 metre long corridor between the Sphinx Hall and Ice Palace. Not only because of the frosty temperatures, but also because of the sacrifices made by the miners to open up the Jungfraujoch to the railway. 30 memorial tablets bear witness to this. The music on the way also gives you goosebumps: It brings back to life the beginnings of the Jungfraubahn, together with the images from the time of the tourism visionaries. Even if visitors are more comfortable today than the miners were – they feel relieved when, at the end of the experience, they can pose in front of the giant snow globe and say: I made it!

Take a piece of Swissness home – find the perfect souvenir of your unique excursion into this high alpine glacier world at the souvenir store at 3,454 meters above sea level.
