Modern Widows Club is so grateful for a $10,000 grant from AmFund- American Fundraising Foundation to support our many programs for compassionate #widowsupport to find hope. healing and growth in widowhood. Moving from #grief to #growth while rebuilding life post loss of a spouse. Foundation support is critical for the thousands of #widows who find us every year worldwide. Our leadership and expertise enables us to create communities led by trained leaders and develop in person and virtual programs backed by research. The outcome is a decrease in overwhelm, fear, isolation, depression and lack of interest in health to 90% increase in confidence, happiness, purpose, interest in health and future. Investing in widows’ programs decreases local and state mental health, health care and social support systems. Learn more and give at: https://lnkd.in/d7uQFZF

One of Hoidale's core values is COMMUNITY, and our goal is to give back. That's why due to the generous support from our community partners and our team, we were honored to recently donate $8,000 to Children's Mercy Kansas City!Did you know 1 in 5 youth, ages 3 to 7 years deal with a mental health disorder? And 2,932 youth were assessed in the ER for acute mental health needs in 2022.These much-needed funds will support the hospital's Illuminate initiative, an ambitious, five-year plan that lights the path forward for the youth mental health crisis. The plan aims to increase access to evidence-based treatment with a specific focus on equity for our most vulnerable populations. Maintaining positive mental health and wellness is always foremost in our minds -- whether at work here at Hoidale or in our personal lives. Especially this time of year, which is difficult for many struggling with mental illness. For more about Illuminate, go to: https://lnkd.in/gA57wvBD.In the meantime, if you're ready to partner with us and fuel your progress, get started today: https://lnkd.in/gt5Nf9Z6.#Growth #Partnership #Collaboration #TogetherWeThrive #FuelingSuccess

1 year ago, I delivered a Tedx Talk that distills my seemingly disconnected experiences in marketing communications and within systems like foster care and education. The takeaways?-Education, poverty, foster care, addiction, the way we communicate, the way we consume information– it’s all connected. - These are not complicated, mysterious issues. They are CAUSED by human action (or inaction), and are solvable by human action.-We need to consider the attitudes and assumptions we make about people navigating the most difficult moments of their lives. Only then will society see major progress.- In addition to meeting immediate material needs, charitable efforts ought to challenge broken systems and root causes.

National Nonprofit Day reminds us of the vital role nonprofits play in building stronger communities, supporting those in need, and driving positive change. CCSA was started to address the stigma around substance use and addiction within Jewish communities. Through community awareness events and school programs, we have extended our reach far beyond what we could have imagined. By providing support and educational programming for adults, parents, faculty, and students, we hope to eliminate the stigma around these issues, break the cycle of addiction, and save lives.#preventioneducation #prevention #education #recoveryispossible #recoverysupport #support #addictionawareness #addiction #addictionrecovery #jewishaddiction #keepkidssafe #nationalnonprofitday #nonprofit

Could not be prouder than to have received this glowing letter of recommendation from Edge Hill University 👏 Student mental health is a hugely important topic, and I'm incredibly proud that MWT has put plans together to engage with as many Universities as possible around the importance of men's mental health. When we speak to universities, not only are we promoting the importance of men's mental health, but we're also offering much needed opportunities for the next generation of professionals to become more aware of the issues facing men. The amount of work we're able to do at MWT is frankly staggering. We run groups, workshops, engagement days and are building a strong online community. Whilst we keep our services free (except the corporate workshops which are offered at a HUGELY competitive price), they are not free to run. MWT has bold plans to continue to grow and reach out to more men than ever, but we can't do it without your support. I know times are hard, but if every one of my LinkedIn friends donated £1, we'd have enough to provide support to over 50 more men, and reach hundreds more through our engagement work. It's SUPER easy to donate to MWT, you can head to our website (www.menwhotalk.org), donate via text (To donate £1, text MWT01 to 70201, To donate £3, text MWT01 to 70331, To donate £5, text MWT01 to 70970, To donate £10, text MWT01 to 70191), or head to our GoFundMe winter appeal (https://gofund.me/3ac30e6b). Thanks for all the support in 2023 - here's to an even more exciting year of hard work ahead! #mensmentalhealth #mentalhealth #donatenow #donateforchange #donationsneeded #fundraising
