ATP Monte Carlo Day 2 Predictions Including Jiri Lehecka vs Sebastian Korda

Day 2 at the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season on clay will feature plenty of exciting matchups in Monte Carlo, with a good mix of experienced veterans and young up and coming players. While the top eight seeds won’t make their tournament debut yet, this Tuesday is still sure to be filled with high quality matches decided by fine details.

ATP Monte Carlo Day 2 Predictions

Alexandre Muller vs Camilo Ugo Carabelli

Head-to-head: Muller 2-0 Carabelli

Both players share a common enemy this season: Sebastian Baez. The Argentine beat Muller in the Rio final, robbing him of the biggest title of his career, and Carabelli in three consecutive Golden Swing tournaments in Buenos Aires, Rio and Santiago, the last two of those being semifinal matches. While Baez has stopped them from winning titles, both players showed a very good level on clay this season and should be very evenly matched here. It should be a very tight match decided by who executes better in key points.

Prediction: Carabelli in 3

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Daniel Altmaier

Head-to-head: Altmaier 1-0 Auger-Aliassime

Aliassime had a great start to the season, but his level in Indian Wells and Miami was quite disappointing. He will be looking to bounce back during this clay season but he doesn’t have an easy first round here, with Altmaier often a tricky opponent on clay. It should be a close match, but ultimately you would expect the Canadian to pull through.

Gael Monfils vs Fabian Marozsan

Head-to-head: Monfils 1-1 Marozsan

Monfils has struggled a lot on clay in recent years, being far more effective on hard courts in his old age. It remains to be seen whether that trend remains in 2025, but given what we have seen in recent years from Monfils on clay it’s fair to say Marozsan has the slight edge here and could well get a great win against the former Monte Carlo finalist.

Prediction: Marozsan in 3

Jiri Lehecka vs Sebastian Korda

Head-to-head: Lehecka 1-0 Korda

Lehecka had a great start to the season but after beating Carlos Alcaraz in Doha he’s lost four matches in a row coming into this tournament. Meanwhile, Korda had a nice run in Miami and should come into Monte Carlo with a lot of confidence. Overall, both players have very similar levels, both overall and on this surface, and it should be a highly competitive affair decided by a few key points here and there.

Prediction: Korda in 3
