The top-seeded Cavaliers dominated the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs by sweeping the eighth-seeded Miami Heat.
After the Cleveland-Miami series ended April 28, the No. 4 Indiana Pacers won their Round 1 series against the No. 5 Milwaukee Bucks 4-1, with the decisive Game 5 played April 29.
The Cavs and Pacers advanced to meet in the second round, otherwise known as the Eastern Conference semifinals. The NBA announced Game 1 will be held May 4, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. Additional scheduling information will be forthcoming.

In the regular season, the Cavs went 1-3 against the Pacers. However, one of Cleveland’s losses to Indiana occurred as many key players rested in the April 13 regular-season finale.
