Get ready, Chipotle has a new item coming to its menu!
A formerly limited-time consumer favorite has now secured a place on the popular eatery’s menu, the company announced in a press release on Thursday, March 6.
The Chipotle Honey Chicken option will debut in locations nationwide, plus Canada and the U.K. on Friday, March 7, after the item debuted for testing in Nashville and Sacramento, Calif., in 2024.

“Chipotle Honey Chicken was our top performing limited time offer in test markets and we’re excited for guests to taste this bold, new protein with their go-to order,” Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, said in a statement.
He continued, “The delicate balance of heat and a touch of sweet pairs perfectly with our real ingredients prepared fresh every day.”
Customers in France and Germany will see the Chipotle Honey Chicken on their menus starting Wednesday, March 12.
Although the new menu item can be customized in any way you like — in-person, online and via the Chipotle app — the test run provided the company with a fan-favorite way to order: Chipotle Honey Chicken with white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce.

According to the company, hot honey is trending on the National Restaurant Association’s “What’s Hot 2025 Culinary Forecast.”
The Chipotle Honey Chicken is made with fresh chicken hot off the grill, seasoned with savory Mexican spices, in a marinade of seared, smoked chipotle peppers and a touch of pure honey, perfect for adding to any choice of entrée.
And the protein isn’t the first time the company has brought back a limited-time item after customers gave rave reviews.

This time last year, Chipotle announced the return of its chicken al pastor.
“There have been three times more requests to ‘bring back Chicken al Pastor’ on social media than any other limited time offering in the brand’s history,” the company said in a March 2024 press release.

Chipotle’s Chicken al Pastor is made with fresh, hot off-the-grill chicken, a rich marinade of seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with a splash of pineapple.
At the time, Brandt said, “Given the performance and the fans wanting its return so enthusiastically, we are thrilled to make this the fastest item to ever come back to Chipotle.”
