JAsir Asani scored two goals against Japanese champions Vissel Kobe to send Gwangju into the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League.

Gwangju in South Korea won 12:3 on March 0 and advanced further in the important competition.

The Albanian striker has nine goals in the Asian Champions League and, along with Yokohama’s Anderson Lopes, is the joint top scorer.

In the quarterfinals of the competition are three teams from Saudi Arabia, two from Japan, and one each from South Korea, Qatar and Thailand.

The team’s coach, Lee Jung-Hyo, spoke about the next opponent and the match as a whole.

“Every minute, every second will be very important for us. The game will probably last 100 minutes and it is a show for us, to show the world how we play. It will be a match for life or death. One will win and the other will die,” coach Lee said at a press conference on Thursday.

Gwangju is a debut team in this competition.
