Country music walks offstage mid-song due to illness and fans are worried

Brooks and Dunn are living legends when it comes to country music, and they are still out on the road going strong after more than three decades.

But fans were more than a little worried following an incident during the duo’s show Friday in Indianapolis.

That incident?

One half of the duo — Ronnie Dunn — reportedly struggled through the show. According to Taste of Country, some fans said his voice cracked on some high notes and that he seemed “winded” at other times. Also, per the site, he sat down during “Rock My World (Little Country Girl).”

The 71-year-old apparently toughed it out and made it through the main part of the show, but he wasn’t able to finish during the encore. Taste of Country said that during “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” during the encore, Dunn sang the first verse before telling the crowd, “Sing it if you know it.”

He then turned, made a gesture to his guitarist, and walked to the front of the stage and waved to the crowd. Taste of Country said he patted his chest and then left the stage.

Dunn’s obvious issues had fans worried and sending prayers and well-wishes, but there is good news as he reportedly returned to the stage alongside Kix Brooks for Saturday’s show.
