A current WWE champion is set to take some time away from television to be part of filming for a “major Hollywood movie”.
Earlier today, a report emerged from PWInsider saying that next week would be a “big week” for WWE Raw star Liv Morgan.
On tonight’s Raw, it seems some more light was shed on what that was referring to and what Morgan’s future holds.
In a backstage segment tonight with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis – who was filling in for Raw GM Adam Pearce tonight – Morgan mentioned that she will be taking some time off TV.
Morgan cited that she has a role in a “major Hollywood movie” as the reason for her absence.
There was no mention of Morgan and/or Raquel Rodriguez having to drop the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship due to her taking time away.
It also wasn’t specifically announced how long Morgan will be out for, but she did apologize for “tanking the ratings” due to not being on the show.
Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio sneakily tried to request some time off alongside Morgan, but wasn’t granted it.
