Dana White’s Donald Trump dig gets laugh from daughter-in-law Lara

Dana White is a massive Donald Trump fan, but the UFC chief believes fighting one combat legend would ‘end badly’ for the Commander-in-Chief.

In a video posted to the Instagram page of Lara Trump, the President’s daughter-in-law, White was put on the spot about two of his favorites.

‘You’ve gone viral for your love of Jon Jones,’ Lara began. ‘But if Jon Jones and Donald Trump walked in a room together, who walks out?

‘I’ve said this a million times, Donald Trump is the most resilient human being that I’ve ever met in my life,’ White responded. ‘But that one ends badly for him.’

His quip earned a hearty laugh from Lara, who filmed the clip to promote White’s appearance on her ‘My View’ podcast.

White has been effusive in his praise for both Jones and Trump in the past.

White is a long-time supporter of Trump and spoke at his pre-inauguration festivities

But the UFC chief doesn’t think that Trump could handle Jon Jones in the octagon

In November, White called Jones – the UFC Heavyweight champion at 37 years old – the ‘pound for pound best fighter in the world’ and the best fighter in the ‘history of f***ing people fighting.’

White, who has spoken at the last three Republican National Conventions, is also a long-time Trump supporter and offered some words at a closed-door ceremony ahead of his inauguration in January,

‘I am honored to be here to celebrate President Trump’s historic victory,’ White said. ‘He didn’t just win this election. He won it in dominant fashion with record numbers of Americans from all walks of life.’

‘Not only did he win the electoral college by 86 points, but President Trump was the first Republican candidate in 20 years to win the popular vote,’ White continued. ‘He also made tremendous gains among traditional Democrat voters by increasing his support with Latin, Asian-American, black and young voters.’

White also shared a photo from the festivities of himself, lead UFC commentator Joe Rogan and Trump.

Trump and Elon Musk went to UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden back in November

Trump has been embraced by the UFC world in recent years, with fighters such Conor McGregor and Colby Covington publicly supporting him.

McGregor visited Trump at the White House last month, though the Irishman later criticized the widespread tariffs that have recently come into place.

Trump has also been seen at several UFC fights, including UFC 309 in November, which he attended with Elon Musk.

‘His base is Trump’s base,’ Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former White House counselor, previously told The New York Times of White. ‘And Trump’s base is his base.’

Trump’s ties to the sports world were also seen last week when he invited the Dodgers to the White House, as is customary for US pro sports champions.

His former daughter-in-law, Vanessa (the mother of his granddaughter Kai), has also started dating Tiger Woods.
