The Hasson Reddick experiment is over for the New York Jets.
The pass rusher has agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $14 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
The agreement comes on the first day of the NFL’s legal tampering period during the 2025 offseason:
Reddick departs from New York after a dicey year with the Jets.
Traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Jets last offseason, he appeared in 10 games in 2024 due to a lengthy holdout. He recorded one sack and one forced fumble.
This came after he broke out with the Eagles in 2022 and 2023 when he recorded a combined 27 sacks and was a Pro Bowler each year.
Now, he is heading to his third team in three years. And, after holding out for a long-term deal, he accepts a one-year deal to try and get his career back on track.
Reddick goes from a 5-12 Jets team to a 10-7 Buccaneers squad that made the postseason. Last year, the Bucs ranked sixth in the NFL with 46 sacks, now they add a pass-rush specialist to the mix in Reddick who has amounted 59 sacks over his eight seasons.
