Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 4.66% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 4.66% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index fell 5.43%, and the index declined 4.24%.

The best performers of the session on the were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:), which rose 0.59% or 0.56 points to trade at 95.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG (ETR:) added 0.54% or 1.05 points to end at 196.15 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.37% or 0.45 points to 120.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 9.77% or 2.04 points to trade at 18.79 at the close. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 8.11% or 25.30 points to end at 286.50 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) was down 7.20% or 20.20 points to 260.20.

The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 2.35% to 13.51, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 1.14% to settle at 69.36 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:) which gained 0.35% to close at 86.00.

The worst performers were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was down 14.53% to 55.00 in late trade, DWS Group GmbH & Co KgaA (ETR:) which lost 12.71% to settle at 41.50 and AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:) which was down 12.63% to 16.95 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which rose 1.47% to 69.00, Formycon AG (ETR:) which was up 0.44% to settle at 22.90 and IONOS Group SE (ETR:) which lost 0.19% to close at 26.85.

The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.90% to 48.40 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 7.67% to settle at 57.75 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.08% to 26.17 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 594 to 72 and 35 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 14.53% or 9.35 to 55.00. Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.08% or 2.00 to 26.17.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.04% to 21.14.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 2.59% or 80.94 to $3,040.76 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 7.57% or 5.07 to hit $61.88 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 6.74% or 4.73 to trade at $65.41 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 1.03% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 102.24.
