Gleb Savchenko is breaking his silence on his shocking split from Brooks Nader.
“I was surprised to learn through an article published today … that Brooks has ended our relationship,” the Dancing With the Stars pro, 41, told Us Weekly in a statement on Monday, April 7. “The last communication I received from her was a text on April 6th, asking to speak. I called her today in response, but she has not replied.”
Savchenko also shared that he last met with Nader, 28, about a week ago, and told Us that from his perspective everything seemed OK between the former couple.
“The last time I saw Brooks was when I traveled to New York to support her and film an episode of her reality show on March 31st and April 1st,” he continued. “And she was sad to see me leave, but I had to return to DWTS to finish my four month tour at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.”

Savchenko was referring to Nader’s upcoming reality series with her sisters Mary Holland Nader, Grace Ann Nader and Sarah Jane Nader. (Us confirmed earlier this month that the show had begun filming.)
While Savchenko told Us he is “still processing everything” and doesn’t “have all the answers,” he wishes Brooks “the best moving forward.”
Us confirmed on Monday that Brooks and Savchenko called it quits after rekindling their relationship in December 2024. A source told Us that Brooks was “the one who ended things.”

Brooks and Savchenko first met last year when they were partnered up on Dancing With the Stars season 33.
“We have a good energy. Like, I think we got good vibes. I mean, it’s nice to be in the room for five hours a day with someone that you get along with,” Savchenko exclusively told Us of working with the model in September 2024. “And also, you know, looking like that. She’s hot.”
During the competition, the pair sparked romance rumors due to their chemistry, flirty banter and matching tattoos. Us later confirmed that Brooks and Savchenko were “hooking up.”

Following their elimination, Brooks and the dancer’s connection fizzled. However, things started heating up again when they reunited for the DWTS season 33 finale in December 2024. Savchenko later told TMZ that he and Brooks were back together, slamming the idea that their relationship was just a “showmance.”
“Of course it’s real. Everything is real,” he told the outlet. “We’re not playing. We’re not playing games.”
After getting back together, Brooks and Savchenko spent the holiday season together alongside his two daughters Olivia, 14, and Zlata, 8, whom he shares with ex-wife Elena Samodanov.
“I don’t need anything else,” Savchenko wrote via Instagram in December 2024 alongside a slideshow featuring snapshots of his family and Brooks spending quality time together.
