Gwen Stefani managed one of the best performances of the American Music Awards 2025, with a medley of hits that had fans dancing like it was 2004.
The iconic singer took the stage with a performance celebrating 20 years of her Love. Angel. Music. Baby.. album, and then delighted everyone by playing two songs from it.
The set started out with Stefani centered in a wheat field while her backup dancers sprouted up like a crop in the Oklahoma sun. She first performed “Swallow My Tears” from her latest album, Bouquet, which debuted in November.
Then, Stefani got to business, giving the fans what they wanted with “Sweet Escape” and “Hollaback Girl,” both from the celebrated album.
While the show was electric and earned a lot of praise, we’d be remiss not to talk about the 55-year-old former The Voice judge and how she seemingly does not age.
After all, that’s what her fans are talking about on X after the jaw-dropping performance that was introduced by her husband, Blake Shelton, a superstar in his own right.
Another pointed out that we had Stefani and another legend, Janet Jackson, performing in the same year.
Others were less than impressed with the costume department, calling out Stefani’s outfit change, which quickly transformed her from an angelic country goddess to a colonial-inspired drum major.
Clearly, she can’t win them all when it comes to fashion, but one thing is indisputable: Stefani has found the fountain of youth and visits often.
