It’s official: Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian has a newborn baby boy.
Sarkisian’s wife, Loreal, shared a photo from her maternity shoot on Friday, stating, “He’s arrived, and our hearts are so full of love and gratitude! Embracing these first days by quietly resting, adjusting, and soaking in every little moment has been amazing! Thank you for your love and for respecting this sweet time of privacy.”

This is the Texas coach’s first child with Loreal. He has two daughters and a son from his previous wife, Stephanie, from whom he divorced in 2015. Brady Sarkisian, his oldest son, walked on to the Texas Longhorns in 2023 as a linebacker. Brady took his first snaps in a game during the 56-7 win over UTSA last season.
Loreal and Sarkisian initially filed for divorce in July 2024, but there were signs that the two had reconciled by November when Loreal was seen at football games wearing her engagement ring. They moved into a new house in the Westlake area of Austin for $ 7.5 million.
This news comes in the wake of a significant offseason for Sarkisian, who signed a one-year, $ 10.8 million extension with the University of Texas after declining two NFL offers. The head coach has led the Longhorns to consecutive College Football Playoff semifinal appearances, while also guiding the team to the Southeastern Conference championship in its first year in the conference.

The Longhorns are anticipated to have an extensive run this year, and perhaps baby boy will join for a few games, coordinating with Loreal’s gameday outfits.
