How Many Entries Does The 2025 Boston Marathon Have?

Runners are days away from the 2025 Boston Marathon, the oldest annual marathon in the world, which will take place on April 21.

This event is also on Patriots’ Day, making the day even more special to the city of Boston and surrounding areas, considering it celebrates the battles of the American Revolutionary War.

Although this marathon has been around since 1897 and always occurs on the third Monday of every April, that doesn’t mean everything has always remained the same, as the 26.2-mile went under changes as the event has evolved.

The current course from Hopkinton, Mass., to downtown Boston that runners will complete wasn’t implemented until 1985, nearly 100 years after the first race.

A marathon doesn’t last as long as the Boston Marathon has without being a race that runners are interested in, and with improved entries through the years, that has not been a problem.

Here is everything to know about the 2025 Boston Marathon entries.
