LOS ANGELES LAKERS
The Los Angeles Lakers (38-21) are riding high on a six-game winning streak and are looking to keep the good times rolling when they host the New Orleans Pelicans (17-44) on Tuesday.
The Lakers have gone 10-2 since acquiring Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris in a blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick to the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 2. Doncic has averaged 22 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals in his first eight games in the purple-and-gold.
The Lakers entered Tuesday sitting in second place in the Western Conference behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Doncic is coming off a 29-point performance in the Lakers’ 108-102 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena. He was one assist away from a double-double, finishing with nine assists on the night.
