The Detroit Tigers get ready for another matchup against an American League Central rival as they face the Minnesota Twins in the second of their three-game weekend set.
The Tigers kicked off the series with a chaotic victory on Friday night. After a slow start for both sides, Detroit erased a three-run deficit by scoring four runs in the top half of the sixth inning, adding some necessary insurance runs as the Twins tried to stage a comeback in the ninth inning. Yet, the Tigers were able to hang on to win, 7-6, giving them team six wins in its last seven games.
Gleyber Torres and Colt Keith each had two hits for the Tigers, while Dillon Dingler led the crew with three hits in the win.
Edouard Julien and Ty France each had three this for the Twins, while Byron Buxton hit a home run in the seventh inning.
